Espacio Iberia Buenos Aires
A new home for talent

Madrid, Bogotá, Mexico City and… Buenos Aires! Espacio Iberia has added a new destination to its journey. Between the 27th of March and the 25th of April, thousands of people enjoyed the Iberia experience in the heart of the Argentine capital. Talent filled number 202 on the iconic Florida Street thanks to celebrities like singer Julieta Venegas, actress Valentina Zenere, or chef Hugo Muñoz.
Espacio Iberia opened its doors on the 27th of March in the heart of Buenos Aires, specifically at number 202 on Florida Street. The third international destination, after Bogotá and Mexico City, to host this event. The opening was attended by Marco Sansavini, president of the airline, Daniel Scioli, Secretariat of Tourism, Environment and Sports of the Vice-Chief of the Interior Cabinet of Argentina, and Joaquín María de Arístegui, Spanish ambassador to Argentina, among other authorities. Until the 25th of April, when it closed its doors, it became the company's home in the Argentine capital, hosting thousands of visitors who got to have the Iberia experience first-hand: try the seats of the A350—the plane operating between Spain and Argentina—, taste the menus served onboard, pilot a plane through a flight simulator, discover the company’s history through its uniforms and, of course, take part in tasting typical Spanish food, cooking shows, and many other surprises.
“This space is a way of giving back that trust Argentines have given us for so many years” — Gemma Juncá, Marketing & Brand Director at Iberia
Among the surprises, we must highlight those related to the Talento a bordo initiative, which we summarise below:

Julieta Venegas and Margarita Molfino. Body, voice, and everything else
Mexican singer Julieta Venegas has spent more than two decades setting the pace of Latin music, shifting between the character of pop, the wisdom of folk, and indie alternative. It wasn’t Julieta’s first time at Espacio Iberia, given that last summer she came to date in Madrid to chat to one of the rising stars in Spanish music, Judeline. After finishing the tour of her latest album, Tu historia, she will take part in the mentoring programme of the Latin Grammy Cultural Foundation. On her part, Argentine actress and dancer Margarita Molfino has given brilliant performances both in film and theatre, focusing always on the body and its practices. Her role in Wild Tales, a film that took the 2015 Platino Awards by storm, made her face known outside of Argentina. Alongside journalist Pauli Echeverría, both artists embarked on a journey of mutual discovery.

Fer Dente interviews Valentina Zenere
Less than a month before the Platino Awards—the biggest celebration of Ibero-American film—, Argentine actress and singer Valentina Zenere visited Espacio Iberia to be interviewed by the multifaceted artist Fer Dente. Zenere started her career as a child, but she became famous with Élite, the Netflix series that she was a part of for four seasons. In terms of music, she has launched several singles, like Cero Coma (2022) or DALE (2023). Fer Dente also gave his first artistic steps at an early age (High School Musical) to later shine bright in several musicals: Hairspray, Sweeney Todd, Kinky Boots, Peter Pan, or Aladdin. With Noche al Dente, his own programme, he became one of the stars of Argentine TV. During their chat, they talked about how the Platino Awards encourage connections between Spain and Latin America, among other topics.

Madrid-Buenos Aires. A culinary journey
Chefs Hugo Muñoz, who just landed from the 1-Michelin-star restaurant Ugo Chan in Madrid, Lele Cristóbal, with more than 20 years at the helm of the iconic Café San Juan in Buenos Aires, and Dolli Irigoyen, one of the most familiar faces of Argentine gastronomy thanks to her role in dozens of TV programmes, proposed a culinary journey between Spain and Argentina at Espacio Iberia. Two countries that share a culinary universe, but where each has its own secrets. The Spanish chef appeared wearing a white and blue T-shirt and declared himself an admirer of the country, obviously including its gastronomy. Alongside Dolli and Lele, whom he considers friends, he admitted to making the most of the journey to let his foodie side run wild, and confessed his admiration for certain local chefs, like Gabriel Oggero, Julio Báez, Juan Pedro Rastellino, or Tomás Treschanski.

Empanada night! Live cooking with Dolli Irigoyen and Hugo Muñoz
At Espacio Iberia, chef Hugo Muñoz revealed the secrets of a classic Argentine delicacy, the empanada. Always on the lookout for inspiration, every one of his journeys turns into a learning opportunity for this whirlwind of creativity, talent, and spontaneity. Alongside chef Dolli Irigoyen, who acted as host, he prepared some delicious empanadas live (including chimichurri sauce!) while sharing his hallmark: the fusion of Spanish and Japanese cuisine. A finger-licking afternoon, given that attendees had the privilege of tasting them. Throughout her TV career, Dolli has coincided with Spanish chefs like Ferran Adrià or Martín Berasategui, so she’s well aware of the excellence of Spanish gastronomy. She also leads the Espacio Dolli, a meeting place for exclusive receptions, social gatherings, and product presentations where flavour is the star of the show.

Chat and concert with Coti: a career of undying success
Who hasn’t been caught by surprise singing the chorus of Nada fue un error? We’re sure that you’re humming the tune of this Coti song that, first in collaboration with Andrés Calamaro and later with Paulina Rubio and Julieta Venegas, became a huge international success. On the 22nd of April, those present at Espacio Iberia were lucky enough to sing along to this chorus with Coti who, as well as playing an acoustic set featuring some of his greatest hits, talked about his career—with no less than 11 albums under his belt—, upcoming projects—like his much-anticipated new album a decade after his acclaimed Que esperas (2015)— and his connection to a country that he loves and that loves him back, Spain. As the author of some real gems of Spanish rock, this Argentine singer and songwriter has also become one of the most highly sought-after producers on the Latin-American music scene.
